B-16615 - Dimetrodon (Balody)

Balody 16615 Dimetrodon: Prehistoric Hunter with a Sail

The Balody 16615 Dimetrodon crouches low on four splayed legs. A large brown sail with bright orange stripes rises from its back. Its body is patterned in brown, beige, and dark gray. Its wide-open mouth reveals a pink tongue and white teeth, while yellow eyes give it an alert look.

• Eye-catching sail with an orange stripe pattern
• Low, crawling stance like the real animal
• Natural earth tones on the body
• Fine pixelated look created by very small bricks
• A rare prehistoric theme beyond the best-known dinosaurs

Are the Balody 16615 bricks compatible with the building bricks I already own?

No. According to the product image, the Balody 16615 belongs to the Diamond series, which uses tiny bricks. They are not compatible with either standard-sized bricks or mini bricks. This is what makes the fine stripes on the sail and the skin pattern possible.

How challenging is it to build the Balody 16615?

You can build the Balody Dimetrodon in a long afternoon. First, you assemble the broad body on its four legs. Then you build up the sail layer by layer and attach the head. The 828 small pieces give the prehistoric animal a finely graduated surface.

Is the Balody 16615 suitable for children?

Yes. According to the store, the Balody 16615 is approved for children. However, the tiny pieces require patience and good fine motor skills. Building it together with parents makes for a little journey into Earth's history.
